Who should attend?

 

ü      Flotilla Captains

 

ü      All members wishing to assist a captain on his or her flotilla – Please join us.

 

ü      If you are a member wishing to provide constructive feedback or havespecific knowledge of a flotilla area, potential events, navigation aids, public transport, general logistics – please join us.

 

Note: Prior to the meeting: Dates, Flotilla Captains, Destination will have already been selected.

 

Meeting Organization

 

During this meeting , each flotilla captain will make a brief presentation on his/her general vision of the flotilla at hand.  This may include destination, navigational considerations,   public transportation options, a list potential special events, as well as call out duties or special position assignments they need help with.  

 

Most importantly, the captains will be looking for committed members to volunteer to help them with planning and putting people to assist putting the flotilla together..

 

We will then break out into event specific groups to brainstorm, and further define the logistics of the event, collect contact information, and specify leaders to assist the captain.

 

We look forward to meeting with all of you at the flotilla planning meeting and hearing your ideas for this coming year. A cocktail social will follow the meeting and – We will provide appetizers.

Allen is the continuation of 1st Avenue south of Houston - People is a block and a half below Houston. Get off at the 1st Avenue stop of the F train - exit on the 1st Avenue end of the station - it's the back of the train if you're heading up town and the front of the train if you're going down town. Go up and through the turn stiles and then go out the right stair well and walk south a block and a half. Also nearby are the Grand St station (B/D) and the Bowery station (J/M).
